Billie Sullivan was called to his eternal home Wednesday evening, August 2, 2023, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born January 29, 1959 in Lebanon, Missouri to James Sullivan and Geneva Cromer Sullivan.
Billie was raised in the Stoutland Community and moved to Springfield after high school in the early 80’s. He was an all-around handy man and was very good at fixing what seemed to be everything. He worked at an old craftsman woodshop and had an appliance repair shop in Springfield, Missouri for many years. He also was employed at Hedden’s Garage in Springfield for several years.
In his spare time, Billie enjoyed hunting and fishing and was very good at playing pool.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jimmie Sullivan and Bobbie Sullivan; and a daughter, Heather.
Billie is survived by his children, Sara Sullivan and her significant other, Marico Anderson of Nixa, Missouri, Michael Sullivan and his wife Heather of Republic, Missouri, Krista Pendergrass of Springfield, Missouri, Amber Lindeman of Springfield, Missouri, Colin Sullivan of Hartville, Missouri, and Courtney Sullivan of Hartville, Missouri; sister, Bettie Davenport and her husband Clovis of Lebanon, Missouri; brothers, George Sullivan and his wife Patty of St. Charles, Missouri, Charles Sullivan of Lebanon, Missouri, Buddie Sullivan of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of grandchildren; great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Billie was a very good friend. He would give the shirt off his back if a person needed it and was constantly helping family and friends in fixing their appliances or vehicles. He could just fix so many things and his talents were called on often.
Most of all he enjoyed being with his family. He had a good sense of humor and kept people laughing with his funny stories and jokes. He was a great friend to many and a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle to his family. The memories he made with his family and friends will be cherished for years to come.
A memorial has been established and donations may be made through the funeral home.
