Billy Bennett (Mansfield)'s Obituary
William Andrew "Billy" Bennett, son of Vernon and Lou Dennis Bennett, was born November 10, 1932 near Mansfield, Missouri and departed this life on September 10, 2013 in Rocky Ridge Manor in Mansfield at the age of eighty years and eleven months.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Billy is survived by a sister, Gale Bass of Springfield, Missouri; a cousin, Cleo Chambers of Mansfield, Missouri; a niece, Denise Henry of Highlandville, Missouri; two nephews, Randall Bass of Washburn, Missouri and Curtis Bass of Naples, Florida as well as other relatives and friends.
Billy lived all of his life in the Mansfield area. He graduated from Mansfield High School in the Class of 1951. He was a custodian for Mansfield Schools for 41 years and was still working until his health began to fail a few months ago.
He had attended Wolf Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
In his spare time he loved fishing and making pot holders for family and friends.
Billy was a quiet and private man and would do anything he could to help someone. We celebrate his life and will remember him for his dedication to his family, friends, and the Mansfield School District.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in lieu of flowers, and left at the funeral home.
