Billy Ray Forrester, Jr. (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Billy Ray Forrester, Jr. was born June 6, 1962 in Waynesville, Missouri to Billy Ray Forrester, Sr. and Renate Kretschmar. He departed this life Monday, August 26, 2024 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. At the time of his passing, he was sixty-two years, two months and twenty days of age.
Billy was raised in Pulaski County and graduated in 1980 from Waynesville High School.  He was employed at Hauck Chevrolet, which became Lowe’s  Chevrolet, where he was an automotive technician for forty-four years. He excelled at his work and received several master technician awards throughout the course of his career. He was a hard worker and mentor to many in the field.
On May 26, 1990, he was united in marriage to Shirlene and they shared over thirty-four years of love and happiness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandmother, Omi.
He is survived by He is survived by his wife, Shirlene Forrester of the home; his daughter, Chasity Borntrager and her husband Bradley of Conway, Missouri; two granddaughters, Danyelle Borntrager and Sarah Borntrager; and a close friend like a son, Jeremy Gillen.
Billy was known to be ornery and enjoyed having a good time. You never had to wonder what he was thinking; he was always quite vocal with his thoughts.
Deep down, Billy was a sweetheart and enjoyed helping people any way he could. He was of German heritage and was very proud of that history about himself.
When he wasn’t working on a car, Billy enjoyed playing pool, baseball, hunting deer, guns, Star Trek, Iron Man, Superman, and Comic Book movies.
He also loved cars, especially Camaros. He had a 1981 Camaro that he took to area car shows and also owned several other classic cars over the years. He had a special fascination and respect for classic cars and enjoyed restoring them and taking his cars to car shows.
Most of all, he loved his family. His granddaughters, Danyelle and Sarah, were the light of his life and he adored them so much.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, his family was the center of his world, and he took great joy in creating lasting memories with them.
A Graveside Service for Billy Forrester will be Saturday, Aug. 31 at 3 p.m. at Hazelgreen Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
