Billy Gleason (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Billy Edwin Gleason, son of Arley Edwin and Susie Caroline Jones Gleason was born August 21, 1936 near Macomb, Missouri and departed this life on July 19, 2014 at his home in Macomb, Missouri at the age of seventy-seven years, ten months and twenty-eight days.
On June 26, 1954 he was united in marriage to Genora Collins and to this union six children were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Elmer Moody, son-in-law, Les Clark and a brother-in-law, Tom Sanders.
Billy is survived by his wife, Genora of the home; three sons, Billy Dean Gleason of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, Ronnie Gleason and his wife, Kathie and David Gleason and his wife, Gina all of Macomb, Missouri; three daughters, Regina Clark of Mount Vernon, Missouri, Beth Steffe and her husband, David of Mansfield, Missouri and Sheila Miller of Macomb, Missouri; twenty-one grandchildren, Belinda Morgan, Carrie Burns, Brooke Arnall, Dusty, Shawn and Cassandra DeHaan, LaRee Wyman, Crystal Coday, Austin and Daison Steffe, Lindsey Pollock, Whitney, Blake, Vince, Haley, Arly and Cade Miller, Seth Barbe, Tara Germer, Brett Hamilton and Tyler Prichard; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; sister, Leona Sanders of Springfield, Missouri; sister-in-law, Juanita Moody of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends
Billy lived all of his life in the Macomb area.  He attended school in Macomb and Mansfield and started driving a truck at age 12.   He had worked for Se-Ma-No Electric, Tobin-Hamilton Shoe Factory, Associated Wholesale Grocers and hauled hundreds of loads of hay on his tractor-trailer from Kansas back to Missouri.
Billy had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.
In his spare time he loved to hunt, go camping, gardening, riding his 4-wheeler, spending time with his dogs and just sitting on his front porch.
He was loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and a caring neighbor and friend.
