Billy Joe Johnston (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mr. Billy Joe Johnston, age 80 of Pleasant Hope, Mo passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO after a brief illness.
He was born on October 22, 1932 in Pleasant Hope, MO the son of William A. Johnston and Clara H. (Hembree) Johnston.
Billy Joe had worked for the Pleasant Hope School District for many years, taking care of the little ones. He had also made a career in the United States Navy for 22 years.
Billy Joe Loved his farm and taking care of all of the animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Dortha and Margaret, also 3 brothers, Thomas, Calvin, Lee and Gilbert.
Surviving is a Daughter, Candy Mayfield and husband Ronnie of Holdrege, NE. His brother Monroe Johnston of Pleasant Hope, MO; and His sister, Anna May Thomas of Raytown, MO. 3 grandchildren, Rae Anna Moler and husband Daniel; First Lieutenant Ronnie Mayfield Jr. and wife Helen and Clint Mayfield and wife Randi. Also 7 great grandchildren, Isaac Mayfield, Ella Smith, Dragan Moler, Randall Mayfield, J. D. Mayfield, Kent Mayfield and Nate Mayfield. Also many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of many friends.
