Billy Shane Gillmore (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Billy Shane Gilmore, of Halfway, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday morning, August 30, 2011. At the tender age of 35 years, seven months, and nineteen days, he suffered a major heart attack and passed away at his home in Halfway, with his family at his side. He is, and will forever be missed.
Billy was born in Springfield, Missouri on January 11, 1976, the son of Billie Paul Gilmore and Velma Marie "Orrell" Gilmore.
Billy met Amy Lynn Maggard and they were united in marriage on May 25, 1996 in Pleasant Hope, Missouri. They had four children together. Billy farmed and raised cattle and also worked a tire shop in Springfield, Missouri. Billy was a farmer and mechanic by trade, a wonderful husband and father by nature.
Billy is survived by his wife Amy Gilmore of the home, his four children, sons; Michael, Shawn, and Jacob, and daughter Emily, all of the home, his parents Billie and Velma Gilmore of Halfway, Missouri, his only brother, Paul Gilmore of Aldrich, Missouri, his only sister, Regina Fergerson of Pleasant Hope, Missouri, Grandmother Iva Gilmore of Halfway, Missouri, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday, September 2, 2011 at the Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Halfway, Missouri, with Bro. Dwayne Burdette and Bro. Joe Spear officiating under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be; Josh Miner, Brad Altic, Zac Maggard, Johnny Maggard, Ethan Choate, and Mike Painter. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Brian Johnson, Mike Johnson, Terry Maggard, Billie Gilmore, Rex Gilmore, and Paul Gilmore.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm Thursday, September 1, 2011 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri.
Memorial contributions to help his children may be made to the Gilmore Children’s Fund, Empire Bank in Pleasant Hope, Missouri.
