Billy Gene Taylor (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Billy Gene Taylor, 90, Stockton, passed away, Monday, February 22, 2016 at the Lake Stockton Healthcare in Stockton, MO.
Billy was born September 27, 1925 in Bethel, MO to Ethmer and Cordia (Thomason) Taylor. He served in the US Navy during WWII on the USS Stanley. Billy married Phyllis June Rotrock and the couple had three sons, Philip Taylor and his wife Cathy, Gary Taylor and his wife Melanie, and Stan Taylor. Billy worked most of his life farming but did help with road construction while the lake was being built. He lived a long healthy life and was able to remain at home up to four days before his passing. As a farmer he had a true love for the outdoors and nature and found great joy in fishing and hunting or just being outside.
Survivors include his wife; three sons; grandchildren, Scott, Sarah, Christie and Carla; along with seven great-grandchildren.
