Blake Johnson's Obituary
Blake Alan Johnson, oldest son of Todd Alan and Sheila Lynn Miller Johnson, was born April 27, 1999, in Olathe, Kansas. He departed this life Friday, January 22, 2010, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ten years, eight months, and twenty-five days. Blake is survived by a sister, Amber Leahy, of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, Bryce Johnson, of Lebanon, Missouri; his paternal grandmother, Karen Johnson, of Bolivar, Missouri; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many friends. He was born in Olathe, Kansas and then moved with his family to Lebanon, Missouri, when he was three years old. He currently was in his fifth grade year of study at Boswell Elementary School. He was an excellent student and belonged to the National Honor Society of elementary schools. He was always polite and good natured and had a wonderfully kind heart. Blake loved sports of all kinds, but basketball was his sport. He also was very talented at dribbling a basketball. He was very close to his family and, as a younger child, always had his “binkie” blanket with him. Blake was a loving son, brother, grandson, and nephew, and was a kind and caring friend. In his few short years he touched many lives and made many friends who will remember him fondly and treasure the fun times they shared. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday January 28, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Lebanon. Burial will be in the Mt. Rose Memorial Park. No formal visitation but friends may call at their convenience at the funeral home under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial has been established to the Bryce Johnson Education fund. Donations may be made through the funeral home. Return to top
