Blanche Jennings' Obituary
Blanche Anna Jennings, daughter of Forrest H. Jr. and Ona Marie Johnson Inskeep, was born April 26, 1927 in Greene County, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, December 21, 2006, in the Hartville Care Center, Hartville, Missouri, at the age of seventy-nine years, seven months, and twenty-five days. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Manford W. and F.H. Inskeep, Jr.; two sons, Mitchell Inskeep and John W. Inskeep, Sr.; and two grandsons. She is survived by one daughter, Ona Mae “Pete” Gibler, of Cuba, Missouri; one son, Donald Gene “Mike” Inskeep, of the State of Illinois; seventeen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; a number of great-great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; her companion, Jack Martin, of Hartville, Missouri; as well as a host of other family and friends. Blanche was born and raised in Greene County; she lived there until moving to Hartville in 1967 to care for her father. In the past, Blanche had attended the Church of God in Christ. Throughout her life, Blanche had worked as a cook and a waitress while living in Greene County. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, working in her garden and had a love for beautiful flowers. Blanche was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, and companion, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories she had created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Hartville. Burial will be in the Durbin Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri.
