As a young man, Bob made his profession of faith in Christ and was baptized. He later became a minister of the gospel, which was his greatest joy in life. He had served as pastor at Sleeper Pentecostal Church, Trinity Full Gospel, Eldridge Full Gospel Church, and Cole Camp Pentecostal Church. He dedicated his life to visiting the sick. He especially enjoyed gospel quartet music and even sang in some groups.
He was a people person who was always willing to help anyone in need. He possessed a delightful sense of humor and was known as “Poppy George” by his family. His life rotated around his faith and his family. He loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring friend to many. We celebrate his life and know that he will be remembered for his deep religious belief, his love of his family and for the many friends he made. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
