Bob Lowrance's Obituary
Bobby Dean Lowrance, son of Clarence Earlie (C.E.) and Ruby Geneva Edwards Lowrance, was born December 8, 1938, in Laclede County. He departed this life Tuesday, October 17, 2006, in St. John’s Hospital – Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-seven years, ten months, and nine days. Early in life he was united in marriage to Neleta Ann Hale and to this union six children were born. On December 9, 1986, he married Mary R. Jones, and together they have shared the last nineteen years. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Neleta; two daughters, JoAnn and Jeannie, and two brothers, Kenneth and Larry. He is survived by his wife, Mary, of the home; two sons, Bruce, and his wife, Regina, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Bob Wayne, of Eldridge, Missouri; two daughters, Sandy Lowrance, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Barbara Groschup, of Buckhorn, Missouri; four step-children, Kenny McNew and his wife, Doris, and Gary McNew, all of Springfield, Missouri, Cathy Cremean, and her husband, Dean, of Denver, Colorado, and David Jones, and his significant other, Susan, of Ft. Worth, Texas; thirty grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Lowrance, and Tom Lowrance, and his wife, Lou, all of Lebanon, Missouri; and two sisters, Kathleen Morrow, and her husband, Junior, of Lebanon, Missouri and Pat Tyson, of Lafayette, Indiana, several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Bob was born and raised in Laclede County. He entered the United States Air Force as a young man and served his country faithfully until his discharge in 1960. He had a love for flying and later managed the Lebanon Airport in addition to being a flight instructor. Bob had made a profession of faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lebanon. In his spare time he enjoyed both fishing and hunting and was very experienced with the bow and arrow. Bob also loved to cook and to barbeque. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed spending time with them. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories that he created for his family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the White Oak Pond Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home
