Bob Williams' Obituary
Bobby Dale Williams, son of John Thompson and Audrey Nelle Woolsey Williams, was born, August 30, 1930 in Linn Creek, Missouri. He departed this life, Saturday, November 11, 2006 in Lake Ozark Retirement Center in Lake Ozark, Missouri at the age of seventy-six years, two months and twelve days. On February 27, 1954, he was united in marriage to Ruby Lee Jackson and together they shared the last fifty-two years. To this union three children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Jimmy Lombardo; a brother-in-law, Lee Mace and a great-niece, Amy Williams-Tull. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Ruby, of the home; three children, Debbie Cochran and husband Danny of Kaiser, Missouri, Vickie Funke and husband Ed of Las Vegas, Nevada and Ricky Williams of Kaiser, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Misty Cochran, Audrey Virgin and husband Jon, Lacy Hedrick and husband Jake, Nicholas Cochran, Starla Lombardo, Jordyn Funke, Darien Funke and Bobby Williams; three great-grandchildren, Kira Virgin and Christian and Cole Hedrick; a future great-grandchild, Kenyan Bobby Dale Virgin; a sister, Joyce Mace of Osage Beach, Missouri; two brothers, John V. Williams and wife Mary of Camdenton, Missouri and Carl Williams and wife Eileen of Kaiser, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Belinda Phillips, Jimmy Lee Williams and Donnie B. Williams all of Camdenton, Missouri; and many great-nieces and great-nephews as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was raised in the Linn Creek area and attended school in Camden County. He served his country proudly during the Korean War where he was awarded the Purple Heart. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he returned to Camden County and was married. He and Ruby moved to Kaiser, Missouri to raise their family. Bob worked as a surveyor and operated a backhoe for many years. He made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ and was a long-time member of the Camdenton First Assembly of God Church where he served as a Deacon for over twenty years. His favorite activity was attending church and if there was a revival in the area, Bob could be found there. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We will cherish his memory in our hearts and will miss him greatly. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2006, in the Camdenton First Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery, Kaiser, Missouri. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri. Memorials to the Camdenton First Assembly of God Church may be made through the funeral home.
