Bobbie Dean Reeves' Obituary
Bobbie Dean Reeves, son of Claude and Mary Ethel Lauder Reeves, was born August 10, 1941, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, January 23, 2008, in St. John’s Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-six years, seven months, and thirteen days. On January 24, 1967, he was united in marriage to Carla Kay Hanks, and to this union two sons were born. He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Jesse Eugene Reeves; a sister, Fern Marler; and a nephew, Glen Reeves. Bobbie is survived by his loving wife of forty-one years, Carla, of the home; twin sons, Christopher Reeves, and his wife, Glena, of Linn Creek, Missouri, and Craig Reeves, and his wife, Jenny, of Lebanon, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Kenya, Tristan, Raine, Brock, Autumn, MacKenzie, and Aspen; two sisters-in-law, Kathy Fitch, and her husband, Earl, of Fults, Illinois, and Linda Reeves, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives, friends, and beloved pets. He was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and graduated from Lebanon High School. After he and Carla were married, they made their home near Lebanon and lovingly raised their sons. Bobbie worked as a cable lineman and cooper for Independent Stave Company for several years, and then worked as a cutter for the H. D. Lee Company for fourteen years. Bobbie was raised in the Catholic Church and followed the Catholic faith throughout his life. In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were fishing and hunting. He was very fond of animals and was devoted to all his pets, especially his dogs. He also enjoyed classic muscle cars. He was an independent and driven man, who was proud of his diverse and determined personality. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren. Bobbie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2008, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
