Bobby E. Hailey's Obituary
Bobby Eugene Hailey, son of Carl Madison and Lillian Emily (King) Hailey, was born December 21, 1931, in Bertrand, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, April 4, 2006, in St. John’s Regional Health Center, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-four years, three months, and thirteen days. In October of 1966 he was united in marriage to Georgie (Dearin) Parker and to this union two children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Paul Wayne Hailey, and an infant, Raymond Carl Hailey; an infant sister, Shirley Ann Hailey; and a step-son, Richard Parker. Bobby is survived by a son, Robert Eugene Hailey, and his wife, Melissa, of Salem, Missouri; a daughter, Carla Howard, and her husband, Kenny, of Hartville, Missouri; his companion, Dorothy Rauch, of Hartville, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Kenneth Jr., Cory, and Cala Howard, Amber, Trebor, Autumn, and Ciara Hailey, and Siegfried Bauer; one great-granddaughter, Gracyn Sky Marie Howard; a brother, Dorsey Ray Hailey, of Rockford, Illinois; two sisters, Dorothy Faye Griffey, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Melba June Wallace, of Kennett, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was raised in the Denton-Steele area of Missouri. He then entered the United States Army, where he served his country faithfully for six and a half years during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged he moved to St. Louis, where he worked for Wagner Electric for many years, before moving to Wright County. Bobby had made his profession of belief in Christ, and followed the Baptist faith. He was a member of the V.F.W., and in his spare time he enjoyed building things, working on cars, and fishing. He also loved cooking and making beautiful quilts. Bobby was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will cherish the memories he has created for his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Chapel. Burial will be in the Shaddy Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri.
