Bobby M. Shelton Sr. (Seymour) 's Obituary
Bobby M. Shelton, Sr. son of William and Nora Hargis Shelton, was born November 28, 1928 in Seymour, Missouri and departed this life on November 1, 2019 at Marshfield Care Center in Marshfield, Missouri at the age of ninety years, eleven months, and three days.
On September 15, 1949 he was united in marriage to Helen June Brixey, and to this union two children were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Helen, on July 16, 2009, grandson, Jeromy Denney, sisters, Faye McGovern and Edna Ogden, and a niece, Carol Leann Dix.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Joyce Denney and husband, Lonnie; son, Bobby M. Shelton, Jr.; two grandchildren, Brandi Jenkins and husband, Robbie, and Warren Denney and wife, Sherry, all of Seymour, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Kendyl Matlock, Reghan Matlock and Brett Denney, all of Seymour; sister-in-law, Doris Dix and her husband, R.D. of Seymour; two nephews, Charles Dix and Bill Love; other relatives and many friends.
Bob was born in Seymour and graduated from Seymour High School in the Class of 1947. He lived his entire life in Seymour. He was a farmer until he was stricken with Multiple Sclerosis and then became a watch repairman for many years.
He made a profession of faith in Christ in his younger years and was a member of the Seymour Baptist Church.
In his spare time, he enjoyed watching birds and loved to hunt and fish in his younger years until his health would not permit it.
Bob was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law, and a caring neighbor and friend.
We celebrate his life and will always cherish the many special times we had together.
