Bobby John Massey (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Bobby John Massey of Lebanon, Missouri passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in his home. Bobby was eighty-two years, two months and twelve days at the time of his passing.
He was born April 1, 1941 in Lebanon, Missouri to Loren Massey and Velma B. Sing. He lived his entire life in Laclede County and was a graduate of Lebanon High School. He was married to Sandra Faye Waterman and together they shared many wonderful years of happiness and making precious memories.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Sandra; three sons, Randall E. Shelton and his wife, Jessica of Nebraska, Scott Shelton and his wife, Shannon of Richland, Missouri and Kevin Shelton and his wife, Sandy of Lebanon, Missouri;’ his daughter, Annett Massey-Foreman of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Gary Massey and his wife, Sue and Noel Massey and his wife, Joyce, all of Lebanon, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Dustin, Kristen, William, Samuel, Ethan, Jesse, Taylor, Maxwell, Quenton, Amanda, Victoria, Jesse B., Heather, and Alex.
Bobby worked for Missouri Eagle for thirty-eight years, making many friends and acquaintances throughout his career. Upon retirement, he and Sandra traveled for fifteen years.
He had a strong faith in God. He was a longtime member of First Assembly of God Church and served in several capacities at the church. He loved his family so much and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He loved going fishing and being outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren any chance he got. Bobby also lovingly took care of his sweet wife, Sandra.
The legacy of faith and love he had for his Lord and Savior, and his family, will be cherished and remembered for his family and friends for years to come.
Friends may call at Holman Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon, Missouri. A family service was held Monday, June 19, 2023 at 2:00pm at Mount Rose Chapel Mausoleum in Lebanon, Missouri.
A memorial has been established for St. Judes and donations may be made through the funeral home.
