Bobby McCleary (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Bobby Lloyd McCleary, son of Lloyd and Mary (Brazeal) McCleary, was born March 26, 1935 in Mansfield, Missouri and departed this life on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Ava Place in Ava, Missouri at the age of eighty-six years and three days.
Bobby married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Ann Churchill, on February 12, 1954, and to this union five children were born. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, parents, brothers, Billy Carl McCleary and Gary Lynn McCleary, and a step-son, Kraig Davis. Bobby is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Carol Johnson of Mansfield, Allen McCleary and wife, Joyce, of Mansfield, Billie Gail McCleary of Drury, Barbara Williams and husband, Charles, of Mansfield, and Jackie McCleary and wife, Dusti, of Lebanon; step-son, Kevan Davis of Ava; sister, Sue Pickney and husband, Clay, of Springfield; sister-in-law, Linda McCleary of Nixa; twelve grandchildren, Robert, Brian, Christopher, Dustin, Cody, Jason, Travis, Ryan, Shawna, Aimee, Bailey, and Macy; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was born and raised in Mansfield and had worked at Tobin-Hamilton Shoe Factory, Mansfield Cheese Company and MFA Feed in Mansfield until he retired. After he and Linda were married, they made their home in Ava. Bobby was an avid hunter and enjoyed telling stories about his hunting times with family and friends. He was always telling stories and jokes to anyone that would listen. He loved making people laugh. Bobby attended House of Prayer in Thornfield, where he accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior. Bobby will be truly missed by all his family and many friends. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2021 in Prairie Hollow Cemetery, south of Mansfield. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made toward the funeral expenses and made through the funeral home
