Bonetta (Bonnie) Fischer (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Bonetta Margaret Fischer was born September 18, 1952 in Emporia, Indiana to Fredrick and Mary Summers Cole. She departed this life Thursday, November 7, 2024 in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehab in Lebanon, Missouri. She was seventy-two years, one month and twenty days of age.
Bonnie, as she was known by family and friends, grew up in Indiana and graduated high school from Pendleton Heights, Indiana. She entered the workforce following graduation. Bonnie would ultimately earn her Associates degree and was employed in the healthcare field.
Bonnie was married to Larry Jones. She was a devoted wife to him, as she cared for him through his illness and passing.
In 1993, she met Thomas Fischer and in 1998, the couple moved to Missouri. To make their marriage more memorable, they set out to be the first couple to be married in the new century and wed on January 1, 2000 at 12:00:01.
Bonnie attended Linn Creek Christian Church in Linn Creek, Missouri.
In addition to her first husband Larry, Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Mary; and two sisters, Vickie and Rebecca.
She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas of Camdenton, Missouri; three step-daughters, Mindy Andrews and her husband Mike, Tomi Martin and Jessica Heckmann and her husband Doug; and three granddaughters, Natalie Andrews, Miranda Andrews and Abigail Buhmann and her husband Ben.
Bonnie was always smiling and never complained. She was a very giving person and enjoyed helping others.
In her spare time, Bonnie liked to go fishing and camping. She was also an avid reader and had a talent for painting. She also loved cats.
Her infectious smile and boundless kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and know her family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories she made for them.
