Bonnie Farris' Obituary
Bonnie Beatrice Farris, daughter of George Edward and Madeline Robles Buckner, was born July 29, 1923, in Pondham, California. She departed this life Friday, March 26, 2010, in St. John’s Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-six years, seven months, and twenty-seven days. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doyle Edward Farris; a granddaughter; a grandson; two brothers, George Buckner, Jr. and Floyd Buckner; and a sister, Nadine Buckner. Bonnie is survived by a daughter, Carol Adams, and her husband, William, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Dwayne Farris, of Susanville, California; five grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in California and lived most of her adult life there. Throughout her life, Bonnie was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. In 1989, she moved to Lebanon, Missouri, to be close to her daughter. Bonnie professed her faith in Christ and was baptized at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lebanon. In her spare time she enjoyed playing the piano, crocheting, knitting, going for walks, and spending time with her family. She was always a feisty and independent lady. Bonnie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, and was a kind and caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 30, 3010 at the Mt. Rose Memorial Park Chapel. Burial will be in the Mt. Rose Memorial Park. Visitation is Monday evening 6-7:30 p.m. under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. Return to top
