On August 1, 1947, she was united in marriage to Gordon Arthur Forgey, and to this union one son was born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon, on January 28, 1997; and two brothers, Barney Eugene and Gorman Davis.
Bonnie is survived by a son, Gordon A. Forgey, Jr., and his wife, Nora, of Las Vegas, Nevada; two granddaughters, Allyson and Molly; three great-grandchildren, Emily, Hunter, and Logan; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and attended elementary school there. She then moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where she graduated from Westport High School. After she and Gordon were married, they made their home in the Kansas City area until moving to Salina, Kansas. The family then moved to Overland Park, Kansas in 1955, and lived for a short time in Little Rock, Arkansas. They soon returned to Overland Park, where Bonnie was a devoted homemaker to her husband and son, and also worked as an office manager for Blue Cross and Blue Shield Insurance and later as a real estate salesperson for several years. In 1990, Bonnie and Gordon moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and made their home. Through the next several years, Bonnie made her home in Las Vegas or Lebanon, Missouri, and considered both her home.
Bonnie believed in God and had established her own personal relationship with her Lord and Savior. She was always willing to help others and possessed a very giving heart.
In her spare time she enjoyed tracing her family genealogy and had researched many books and sources to create her detailed family tree. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed her granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
Bonnie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her eighty-six years.
