She was born near Orla, but was raised in the Phillipsburg community, where she graduated from Phillipsburg High School. She then made her home in St. Louis and worked as a bookkeeper for Forum Cafeteria for several years. After she and Wilbert were married, they moved to California and then lived in various locations while Wilbert was serving in the Air Force. During these years, Bonnie was a devoted homemaker to her husband, a loving mother to her daughters and was a very supportive military wife. Once Wilbert officially retired, he and Bonnie moved to Rockport, Texas for some time before making their home in Springfield, Missouri.
Bonnie had made her profession of faith in Christ and was raised in the Phillipsburg Christian Church.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed mowing and taking care of her lawn. She grew many beautiful flowers and liked having a well manicured and decorative yard. She also enjoyed visiting with her family and friends. She loved her family dearly and touched many lives, especially those of her children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her eighty-seven years.
