Bonnie Reid's Obituary
Bonnie Jean Reid, daughter of Ralph Samuel and Alma Louise Davis Reid, was born May 19, 1936, near Abo, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, December 2, 2009, in Christian Health Care North, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-three years, six months, and thirteen days. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Don Wayne Reid; and two sisters, Ida Bell Robinson, and Doris Marie Ritchey. “Tootie”, as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, is survived by a daughter, Diana House, and her husband, Jerel, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Steven Reid, of Lebanon, Missouri; two grandsons, William Robert and Michael Leon Langdon; a great-granddaughter, Emma Langdon; three sisters, Louise Builderback, Emma Hill, and her husband, Bill, all of Lebanon, Missouri, and Rosetta Richardson, and her husband, Curtis, of Eldridge, Missouri; a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and lived most all of her life in or near Lebanon. Bonnie was disabled for all of her life, and bore her illness with great courage and fortitude. Tootie attended various churches throughout the years, but always followed the Baptist faith. She enjoyed doing embroidery work, going to yard sales, and watching television. Being with her family was what brought her the most joy and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Tootie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday December 4, 2009 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday evening 7-8:30 p.m. under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial has been established to the Crossroads Cemetery Care Fund. Donations may be made through the funeral home. Return to top
