Bonnie Sharp's Obituary
Bonnie W. Sharp, daughter of Charles Alexander and Mary Elizabeth Caplinger Wallace, was born November 15, 1915, in Tipton Ford, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, August 21, 2008, in Osage Beach Health Care Center, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of ninety-two years, nine months, and six days. On May 7, 1939, she was united in marriage to Maurice A. Sharp, Sr., and to this union two sons were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maurice, on October 29, 1994; four brothers, Roy, Clayton, and Clifford Wallace, and an infant; and three sisters, Nell Demming, Freeda Buck, and Emma Perkins. Bonnie is survived by two sons, Maurice Sharp, Jr., and his wife, Kathy, of Granby, Colorado, and Wallace Sharp, and his wife, Mary, of Camdenton, Missouri; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Wallace, and his wife, Geraldine, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Charles “Lawson” Wallace, and his wife, Thelma, of Licking, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was raised in the Carthage and Duenweg, Missouri communities, and then moved with her family to California. After she and Maurice were married, they made their home in California where during World War II Maurice worked at Camp Pendleton on the expansion project. At the conclusion of the war, Bonnie and Maurice stayed in California for a short time before moving back to Missouri, in the late 1940’s. They made their home in Lebanon for a time and then moved to the Lake of the Ozarks where she and Maurice built and operated a marina for several years. Upon retiring and selling the marina, they returned to the Lebanon area. Throughout her life, Bonnie was a devoted homemaker and faithful wife to her husband. Bonnie had made her profession of faith in Christ and had established her own personal relationship with her Lord and Savior. In her early years she enjoyed sewing and crocheting in her spare time and always liked having her grandchildren around her. Later in her life, she became a more private individual and enjoyed her solitude. Bonnie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wed. August 27, 2008 at the Holman- Howe Funeral Home Lebanon.. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at their conveniance under the direction of the Holman- Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. Memorials have been established to the Camdenton Christian School or the Bible Baptist Church and donations may be left at the funeral home. Return to top
