Bonnie Sue's Obituary
Bonnie Sue Kuhn, daughter of Earl ?Dink? and Ruth Blankenship Shipman, was born July 18, 1941, in Linn Creek, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, September 27, 2011, in her daughter?s home, Prairie du Rocher, Illinois, at the age of seventy years, two months and nine days.
On June 17, 1967, in Linn Creek, Missouri, she was united in marriage to John Lewis Kuhn. Together they shared thirty-two years of marriage before his passing on January 26, 2000.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her father- and mother-in-law, Kenny and Sally Kuhn; and a brother, Eddie Shipman.
Survivors include three children, Freeda Ann Gravot and husband Galon of Prairie du Rocher, Illinois, Tammy Dawn Liefer and husband Brandon of Red Bud, Illinois, and Kenneth Earl Kuhn of Waterloo, Illinois; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bill Shipman and Sharon of Macks Creek, Missouri, Freddie Shipman and wife Peggy of Linn Creek, Missouri, and Butch Shipman and wife Cheryl of Linn Creek, Missouri; two sisters, Linda Starr and husband Danny, and Ellen Bradley and husband Rick, all of Camdenton, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Bonnie Sue was raised in Linn Creek and was a graduate of Camdenton High School. After her marriage they made their home in Belleville, Illinois, where she raised her family. She moved back to the lake area in 1997. She worked as an upholsterer for Czarnecki Upholstery and Campbell Automotive.
She made a profession of faith and attended Linn Creek Baptist Church.
In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing, bowling, crocheting and sewing. She was a happy person, who loved to talk. Spending time with her family was most important to her.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
