Bonnie Marie West (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Bonnie Marie West, daughter of Charley and Laverna Bennett Claxton, was born December 3, 1943, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, March 8, 2014, in Chariton Park Health Care Center, in Salisbury, Missouri, at the age of seventy years, three months, and five days.
On June 24, 1993, she was united in marriage to Charles Owen West, and they shared twenty years before his passing on February 13, 2013.
She was also preceded in death by her father; three sons, Steve Lawson, and twin infants, John and James; and a great-grandchild, Skylah.
Bonnie is survived by two daughters, Laurie Mosier, and her husband, Allen, and Robin Johnson, and her husband, Chuck, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of grandchildren including, Amanda, Mark, Mikeal, Evan, Destanie, Damon, Jennifer, and Brittany; her mother, Laverna Claxton Jones, of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, Don Claxton, of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Betty Coryell, of Eldridge, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area, and graduated from Lebanon High School. In her younger years, she worked at the soda fountain in the Joe Knight Drug Store for awhile and then later worked as a cook for a time. She made her home in the Lebanon area for most of her life and was a devoted and loving homemaker to her husband and family throughout the years.
Bonnie had attended Hillcrest Baptist Church in Lebanon.
She was an avid reader and a huge fan of John Wayne, and all of his movies.
She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was very outspoken and you never had to wonder what was on her mind.
Bonnie was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
