Brandy Toops (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Brandy Lynn Toops, daughter of Gary Owen Toops and Katheryn Lynn Goehl, was born June 13, 1978, in Keokuk, Iowa. She departed this life Wednesday, December 21, 2022, in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of forth-four years, six months and eight days.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Brandy is survived by her best friend, Amy Bennett of Lebanon, Missouri; her daughter, Allison Barnhart and husband Johnny-Dale of Lebanon, Missouri; adopted daughter, Elizabeth Goehl of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters, Flo Cline, Joan Cartwright and her husband, Robert, all of Lebanon, Missouri and Tiffany Wilkins of Fort Madison, Iowa; four brothers, Stephen Toops of Madill, Missouri, James Toops, and Koda Lawson, both of Kahoka, Missouri and Bradley Toops of Keokuk, Iowa; her grandchildren, Landon Barnhart, Addison Barnhart, Kanin Barnhart and Ezra Barnhart; nieces and nephews, Kenneth Cartwright and his wife, Janessa, James Cartwright, Tiffany Hart and her husband, Weston and Anna Cartwright; and Lawrence Piercy. several great-nieces and nephews.
Although Brandy was born in Keokuk, Iowa, she moved with her family when she was young to Madill, Missouri. She attended Running Fox School until she was 16 years old. At that time, her family moved to Lebanon, Missouri and she attended school there.
She went on to become a dietitian and worked at area nursing homes.
Brandy was a grandmother to four beautiful grandchildren and she adored them so much. The grandchildren affectionately called her “MiMi” and Brandy loved hearing that name.
When she wasn’t spending time with family and her best friend, Stefanie Young or Amy, she enjoyed reading and she loved her dogs.
Brandy was a fun-loving person who enjoyed life. She will be missed by those who loved and knew her.
Services for Brandy Lynn Toops will be Tuesday, December 27 at 5 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27 in the funeral home.
A memorial has been established to the family and donations may be made through the funeral home.
