Brenda Kay Pendergrass (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Brenda Kay Pendergrass, daughter of Clyde and Mary Barbarich Pendergrass, was born April 25, 1957, in Kansas City, Kansas. She departed this life Friday, December 3, 2021, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-four years, seven months, and eight days.
She was preceded in death by her father; her partner, George W. Cowen; a son, George W. Cowen, II; and two brothers, Clyde and Ronnie Pendergrass.
Brenda is survived by a daughter, Kayla Marie Cotton, and her husband, Phillip, of Lebanon, Missouri; six grandchildren, Tanisha, Kaylina, Markeisha, Philicia, Daunte, Jaylen; her mother, Mary Pendergrass, of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, Craig Pendergrass, of Springfield, Missouri; and a sister, Lisa Randall, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She lived more of her life in the Lebanon area and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1975. After having become a Licensed Practical Nurse, she worked for thirty years at the Lake of the Ozarks and then in Eldon, Missouri. She was also a devoted homemaker to her partner and family.
She was an avid reader, and liked spending time with her family.
Brenda was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
