Brenda Nadine Sweaney (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Brenda Nadine Kemna (Sweaney) of Preston MO, was born January 24, 1956 in Buffalo, MO to Dillard and Beulah (Nunn) Sweaney. She departed this life at the age of 69 on February 20, 2025 in Hermitage, MO.
In her early years, she lived with her maternal grandparents and was very close to her grandmother, Nadine Nunn, and aunt Rose Mary (Nunn) Wilson, who became like a sister.
Brenda attended Wentzville High School in Wentzville, MO and was supposed to graduate in 1974, but wound up marrying the love of her life, Leroy Henry Kemna on March 22, 1974. She later received her GED and then graduated from technical school for computer programming.
Family was very important to Brenda and she loved and supported them throughout her life. Brenda and Lee did not have children contrary to their wishes, but had lots of nieces, nephews, children of friends, and even younger siblings that she was able to nurture and care for.
From a young age, music was so important to her and remained constant throughout her life. She attended more concerts than can be counted or even remembered, but some of her closest friendships stemmed from these gatherings.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Lyndell Sweaney.
She is survived by her husband Leroy Kemna, sisters; Belinda (Buddy) Jasper, Glenda (Michael) Jones, and Gayla McDaniel.
