Brenda Lynn Wilson-Hougardy (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Brenda Lynn Wilson-Hougardy, daughter of Arthur and Barbara Jane Myers Wilson, was born February 20, 1965, in La Mesa, California. She departed this life Tuesday, November 27, 2018, in her home, near Conway, Missouri, at the age of fifty-three years, nine months, and seven days.
She was united in marriage to John Edward Hougardy, Jr., and to this union four sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her father; a grandson, Johnathan Henry Boudonck; and two nephews, Mitchell and Bradley.
Brenda is survived by four sons, John Hougardy, III, and his wife, Emily, Ashley Hougardy, and Jason Hougardy, all of Springfield, Missouri, and Scott Hougardy, of Conway, Missouri; two grandchildren, Phoenix and Oliver, and one more eagerly anticipated grandchild; her mother, Barbara Wilson, of Lebanon, Missouri; three brothers, Kenny Wilson, and his wife, Darlene, of Eldridge, Missouri, and Steven Wilson and Roy Wilson, both of the State of California; a sister, Beverly Trammel, and her husband, Kenny, of Pueblo, Colorado; several nieces and nephews; her significant other, Thomas Perry, of the home; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Conway community and graduated from Conway High School. She and John made their home wherever the Air Force sent him and lived in England for two years. Later, she and the children moved near Conway, Missouri. Through the years, Brenda was a devoted homemaker to her family and also was a volunteer at the Conway Senior Citizen Center.
She enjoyed doing craft projects along with crocheting and quilting. She liked shopping and had a knack for finding unique gifts. She enjoyed music, and watching the television show Supernatural. She also liked going for drives in the country. She was dearly loved as a mother figure by a number of people. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Brenda was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
There will be a memorial service for her on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018 at the Conway Senior Center, 105 W. Jefferson Ave. in Conway.
A memorial in her honor has been established in her name and may be left at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon.
