Brenton W Claxton (Hartville)'s Obituary
Brenton Wayne Claxton, son of Melvin and Venita Lawler Claxton, was born July 28, 1950 in Lebanon, Missouri and departed this life on July 20. 2014 in NHC Healthcare in West Plains, Missouri at the age of sixty-three years, eleven months, and twenty-two days.
On October 24, 1987, he was united in marriage to Kimberly Harris and to this union two daughters were born.
He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Jerry.
Brent is survived by his daughters, Amanda Burzynski and her husband, Robert of Springfield, Missouri and Andrea Van Eaton and her husband, Derek of Hartville, Missouri; two granddaughters, Heidi Burzynski and Lilly Van Eaton; his mother, Venita Claxton of Hartville, Missouri; nephew, Michael Claxton; great-nephew, Dylan Claxton; sister-in-law, Charlene Claxton all of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, as well as other relatives and many friends.
Brent was born in Lebanon and raised in the Grovespring and Hartville area. He graduated from Hartville High School in the Class of 1968 and was drafted into the United States Army in 1971 where he faithfully served his country. He then made his home in Mtn. Grove, Missouri where he owned a trucking company for many years as well as a muffler shop, a mechanic shop and had worked for MFA.
Brent had accepted Christ as his savior and was a member of New Home Free Will Baptist Church.
In his spare time he enjoyed working on cars, fishing, Nascar and drag racing.
Brent was a loving father, grandfather, son, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will cherish the good times we had together.
