Bret Stottlemyre (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Bret Dwayne Stottlemyre, age 44 of Springfield, passed away Friday evening on April 17, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Bret was born on October 18, 1970, the son of Phillip Stottlemyre and step mother Sondra Stottlemyre and Kay Daneshfar.
He was an avid biker and loved history and astrology, Bret had a love for anything outdoors, adored his dog: Ajax, and had an unforgettable charming personality. His smile and laugh filled every room he entered.
Bret leaves behind the majority of his family, since he left us so young. Such a friendly guy is bound to have tons of friends. He had many best friends, but two were also his cousins: Emerald and Michael McCracken. These two can tell countless stories recounting all their shenanigans with Bret. Emerald does not know who she will drunk-dial gma with now, and Michael doesn’t know who he will call sasquatch.
Bret is preceded in death by his two grandpa’s; Grover Stottlemyre and Asa Jones.
Surviving; His parents; Phil Stottlemyre and wife Sondra (momma S) of Bolivar; His mother; Kay Daneshfar of Springfield, MO; one brother; Bart Stottlemyre of Palm Springs, CA; grandmothers; Alice (Alicee) Stottlemyre of Bolivar, MO; Ruby (Nana) Jones of Stockton, MO; his aunts, Mary Long and husband Bud of Aldrich, MO; Pam Bair and husband Don of Kearney, MO; and Patty McCracken and husband Mike of FairPlay, MO; a close friend, Brett Leeper of Springfield, MO and his dog Ajax.
Bret’s positive energy, love for life, and outgoing personality leaves a lasting impression on all his friends and family. He will be exponentially missed.
