Brian David Lockhart (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Brian’s life was a beautiful story that began on October 17, 1985. He passed away August 2, 2022 at his home at the age of 36. He was all boy while growing up and attending Bolivar schools. He played traveling basketball and American Legion Baseball. He would go on to attend college, where many shenanigans would ensue. Brian attained an associates degree from Ozarks Technical Community College in the diesel field. He worked at Central Power Systems & Services in Springfield, MO and took pride in his work.
His life was made even sweeter on July 21, 2011 when his daughter, Emily Ryann, was born. She was his bright light. From identifying different birds, walking creek beds for fossils, or a casual stroll picking wild flowers, they bonded over his love for nature. Five years later on June 26, 2016, his life was blessed with a handsome son, Max Jameson, who was his buddy ol’ pal. Brian loved to build and create with his hands and shared this love with his son. The pair spent many hours “piddlin” at his workbench together. Aden Alexander was born on January 20, 2022, and completed the family.
Brian loved anything and everything outdoors. Fly fishing with his dad and brothers was something that they all treasured doing together. He lived for the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS, tye dye, and The Rolling Stones, and his wardrobe represented his love of those things well.
Brian accepted Jesus as a boy in a car ride with his mom. He rededicated his life to the Lord and became a member at Good Spring Baptist Church, where he recently helped with Vacation Bible School.
He is survived by his parents: David and Cindi Lockhart of Louisburg, Missouri; Daughter: Emily Ryann Lockhart of Springfield, Missouri; two sons: Max Jameson Lockhart and Aden Alexander Lockhart of Springfield, Missouri; wife and mother of Emily, Max and Aden: Sarah Lockhart of Springfield, Missouri; three brothers: Justin Lockhart and wife Whitney; Jake Lockhart, and Brock Lockhart and wife Olivia Lockhart; two nieces: Madison Lockhart and Lindley Lockhart; Uncle and Aunt: Gary and Becky Lockhart; cousins: Molly and Joshua Duncan and Branch; and grandmothers: Dorothy Campbell and Lilly Stafford.
A celebration of life will be planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be taken to any Oakstar Bank, where a “Brian Lockhart Memorial” has been set up. The memorial fund will be set up as a future trust for his children.
Cremation rites are being accorded by the Cantlon-Otterness and Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo, Missouri.
