Buddy Terry's Obituary
Buddy Lee Terry, son of Earnest Milton and Ruby Dorothy Poulson Terry, was born December 20, 1940, near Conway, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, September 9, 2008, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-seven years, eight months, and nineteen days. On May 18, 1972, he was united in marriage to Betty Lou Dinwiddie, and together they shared the last thirty-five years. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Doris Shumate, and Bonnie Cline. Buddy is survived by his wife, Betty, of Conway, Missouri; a daughter, Mary Alexander, and her husband, Steve, of Conway, Missouri; three sons, Irvin Jones, and his wife, Christine, of Lebanon, Missouri, Buddy Terry, Jr., of Conway, Missouri, and Paul Henson, of the State of Florida; four grandchildren, Austin, Jazmin, Cynthia, and Dorothy; a sister, Patsy Brown, and her husband, Bob, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in Laclede County, Missouri, and lived most of his life in the Lebanon area. For several years he worked as a security guard for the Empire Gas Corporation and then drove a taxi cab for the A & B Taxi Cab Company in Lebanon for fourteen years. Buddy followed the Pentecostal faith throughout his life and had attended Harvest Tabernacle – United Pentecostal Church in Lebanon. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, and was a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball team. He possessed a delightful sense of humor and enjoyed joking with his family and friends. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren. Buddy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends. Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday September 12, 2008 at the Holman- Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 7-8:30 pm under the direction of Holman- Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon, Missouri. Return to top
