Bueford Hunt (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Bueford Loyd Hunt, son of James Harlan and Annie Edith Patterson Hunt was born February 9, 1930 in Wellington, Texas and departed this life on November 6, 2010 in Glenwood Healthcare Center, Seymour, Missouri at the age of eighty years, eight months and twenty nine days.
On July 28, 1952, he was united in marriage to Shirley Ward and to this union three children were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bueford is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Shirley of the home; a daughter, Pam Kane and her companion Steve Hum of Cedar Falls, Iowa; two sons, Weldon Hunt and his wife, Alice and Daniel Hunt and his companion, Mary Portlock all of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Patsy Breneman and her husband Richard of North Bend, Washington; as well as other relatives and friends.
Bueford lived in Texas, New Mexico and Colorado before moving to Mansfield, Missouri in July of 1973.
He accepted Christ as his personal Savior as a youth and was a member of the Southern Baptist faith.
Bueford was a hard worker and always said “I am not a farmer, I am a cattle rancher”. Being a cattle rancher was his life.
Bueford was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
