Calvin Milam (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Calvin Coolidge Milam, age 85, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Dallas County Care Center in Buffalo, Missouri.
He was born November 26, 1924 in Scott County, Missouri to Ulysses Raymond Milam and Annie Bell (Maynard) Milam.
Calvin was a Over The Road Truck Driver for many years prior to his retirement and was a United States Army Veteran and served during World War II. He was a member of the Flemington AMVETS Post #114 of Flemington, Missouri, The Howard S. Keeling American Legion Hall and the Veteran’s Of Foreign Wars.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Christine Milam in 1990, his second wife, Marjorie (Ballinger) Milam in 2003, his son, Calvin Edward Milam, three sisters and seven brothers.
Calvin is survived by his wife, Evon Milam of Bolivar, Missouri, six sons, Ronnie Milam of Streamwood, Illinois, Walter Milam of Bolivar, Missouri, Raymond Milam of Bolivar, Missouri, Johnny Milam of Bolivar, Missouri, Tommy Milam of Springfield, Missouri, Richard Milam of West Chicago, Illinois, four daughters, Brenda Belcher of Bolivar, Missouri, Sherry Lockhart of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, Patty Patterson of Warrenville, Illinois, Mary Ann Head of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, 22 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, July 19, 2010 at Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery south of Springfield, Missouri under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Chaplain James O. Friend officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Missouri Funeral Honors Team in Springfield, Missouri and the AMVETS Post #114 of Flemington, Missouri.
