Carl Reser's Obituary
Carl Robert Reser, age 94, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away Friday, January 15, 2010 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born June 17, 1915 in Urbana, Missouri to Alvin Reser and Ora Beasley Reser. Carl was married on November 28, 1937 in Urbana, Missouri to Willetta B. Emory. Carl was a carpenter and builder for over 60 years. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Bolivar, Missouri, and was currently attending the Assembly of God Church in Morrisville, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Edith Reser, Pauline Rea, two brothers, Buster Reser and Harold Reser. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Willetta B. Reser of the home, two sons, David A. Reser and his wife Jane of Fullerton, California, Donald R. Reser and his wife Marilyn of San Bernardino, California, his daughter, Yvonne Gaunt of Branson, Missouri, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Friday, January 22, 2010 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Reverend Randy R. Urich and Reverend Ken Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Payne Cemetery near Polk, Missouri under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar. A visitation will be from 5-7pm, Thursday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Russell Emory, Franklin Mashburn, Orlin Scrivener, David Stutenkemper, Tim Long, and Gary Franklin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gerald Wilson, Jack W. Reser, Jerry Carson, James Rush, David Cribbs and Silas Barber. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Carl R. Reser to Convoy of Hope, 330 S. Patterson Avenue, Springfield, Missouri 65802.
