Carl Edward Tait (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Carl Edward Tait, son of Walter A. and Rutha Etta Chapman Tait, was born March 13, 1937, in Phillipsburg, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, June 20, 2020, in Buffalo Prairie Nursing Home, in Buffalo, Missouri, at the age of eighty-three years, three months, and seven days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Charles and James Tait, and Richard Auberry; and two sisters, Erma Gardner, and Ina Churchill.
Carl is survived by two sons, Kevin Tait, and Karl Tait, both of Springfield, Missouri; four grandsons, Thomas Tait, Chris Tait, both of Lebanon, Missouri, Bryan Tait, of Springfield, Missouri, and Jason Peters, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Lebanon area and graduated from Lebanon High School. He was employed by Independent Stave Company, now Missouri Cooperage, for nearly twenty years. He had made his home in Buffalo for the last several years.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors and particularly liked fishing.
Carl was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Graveside services for Carl Tait will be Thursday, June 25 at New Hope Cemetery near Long Lane, Missouri. A visitation will be held prior to the service at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon on Thursday, June 25, from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
