Carl W. Simmons (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Carl William Simmons, age 78, entered into rest on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at his home in Urbana, Missouri with his wife by his side.
Carl was born on September 12, 1944, in Urbana, Missouri to Glen and Margaret (Erikson) Simmons. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just being out on the farm. At age 17, Carl moved to Kansas City, Kansas where he worked as a machinist for Union Machine and Tool. He retired after 35 years of dedicated service. On February 10, 1986, Carl was united in marriage to Gloria Wilcox. They raised their family on the farm in Urbana. While Carl worked in the city during the week, he traveled home each weekend to be close to and spend time with his beloved family.
Carl was preceded by his parents, brothers Johnny Simmons and Roy Simmons, sisters Lulu Belle Belleu, and Fern Belleu, and two sons Jesse Driskill and Carl Ray Driskill. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Simmons, children Jeff Simmons, Karla Simmons, Clark Driskill, Peyton Simmons, and Jesse Simmons, grandchildren Anna Driskill and Clarke Driskill, Jr., great grandchildren Henry, Arthur, Vivian, Kenzie, and Khloe, sisters Mary Ellen Alexander, Glenda McCoy, and Frankie Simmons, one brother Virgil Simmons, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
There will be no formal services at this time.
