Carl Wayne Hicks' Obituary
Carl Wayne Hicks, son of Vinal and Inez Levirta Heimbeaugh Hicks, was born December 26, 1928, near Roach, Missouri. He departed this life Friday, December 22, 2006, in Windsor Estates, in Camdenton, Missouri, at the age of seventy-seven years, eleven months, and twenty-six days. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Roma Hicks. Carl is survived by four brothers, Louis Hicks, and his wife, Stella, of Buffalo, Missouri, Wila Hicks, of Macks Creek, Missouri, Ed Hicks, and his wife, Billie, of Buffalo, Missouri, and George Hicks, and his wife, Laureita, of Clinton, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised on the family farm in the Roach, Missouri community. He then lived and worked in Kansas City, for a few years. In 1960, he moved to Camdenton, and made his home. He had worked as a tree trimmer for a tree trimming company. Carl had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed taking pictures, listening to Bluegrass music, and working in his yard, where he grew many beautiful flowers. He also was a big time wrestling fan. Carl was a loving brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2006, in Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Edith, Missouri. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri. Memorials to Pleasant Grove Cemetery may be made through the funeral home.
