Carla Lewis' Obituary
Carla Sue Harrill Lewis, daughter of Carl and Wanda J. Curtis Harrill, was born October 10, 1967, in Rolla, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, September 27, 2008, in Barnes Jewish Hospital, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of forty years, eleven months, and seventeen days. On December 27, 1991, she was united in marriage to Steven Lee Lewis, and to this union three sons were born. She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Richard Harrill; her father-in-law, Robert Monnahan; and her grandmother-in-law, Ann Lewis. Carla is survived by her husband, Steven, of the home; three sons, Christian, Jordan, and Austin Lewis, all of the home; her mother, Wanda Harrill, of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, Paul Harrill, of Keller, Texas; a sister, Sharon Arnold, of Kansas City, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; her mother-in-law, Sharon Monnahan, of Lebanon, Missouri; her father-in-law, Ronnie Lewis, of Lebanon, Missouri; four sisters-in-law, Rhonda Monnahan, Melissa Ryan, and Kayla Odorizzi, all of Lebanon, Missouri, and Sondra Aleman, and her husband, Albert, of Springfield, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. She was raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1986. She then worked for Copeland Corporation for a few years. After she and Steven were married, they made their home near Lebanon and lovingly raised their sons. In addition to being a devoted homemaker and mother, she was currently working as a receptionist for Lindsay Chevrolet in Lebanon. Carla had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Community Baptist Church, near Lebanon. In her spare time she enjoyed making scrapbooks and decorating for all the seasons and special holidays. Her life revolved around her husband and sons, and she greatly enjoyed going to all of the sporting events in which her sons were involved. She was a true sports enthusiast and especially liked the St. Louis Cardinals. She also enjoyed taking rides with her husband on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Carla was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be at 2:00 pm Wed. October 1, 2008 at Holman- Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Visitation will be Tuesday Evening 7-8:30 pm under the direction of the Holman- Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri.A memorial has been established to her sons and donations may be made through the funeral home.
