Carla Kay Reeves (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Carla Kay Reeves, daughter of Howard Jay and Edna Lee Shipman Hanks, was born March 8, 1950, in Camdenton, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, July 25, 2019, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-nine years, four months, and seventeen days.
On January 24, 1967, she was united in marriage to Bobbie Dean Reeves, and to this union twin sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobbie, on January 23, 2008; and three brothers, Jay Wayne Hanks, Joseph Warren Hanks, and Conley Hanks.
Carla is survived by two sons, Christopher Reeves, and his wife, Glenna, of Linn Creek, Missouri, and Craig Reeves, and his wife, Tammy, of Lebanon, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Kenya, Tristan, Raine, Brock, Autumn, Mackenzie, and Aspen; a sister, Kathy Fitch, and her husband, Earl, of Maeystown, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Lake of the Ozarks area and attended Linn Creek School, and then Windyville School when her parents moved there. She finished her education by graduating from Lebanon High School after her parents moved the family to Lebanon. After she and Bobbie were married, they made their home near Lebanon and lovingly raised their sons. Carla was a devoted homemaker to her husband and sons and also worked as the office manager at the K-Mart Store in Lebanon for many years. She later was a teller at Mid-Missouri Credit Union, which is now Infuse Credit Union, for several years.
In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, photography and poetry. She also liked fishing and traveling. She liked her friend groups and loved her dogs. She enjoyed keeping up with her family and their activities. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Carla was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Carla Reeves at her home at 25953 Pelican Dr. in Lebanon, on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 1- 3 p.m.
