Carla Jo Thomas (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Carla Jo Thomas, daughter of William “Billy” and Glenda Smith Paul, was born February 19, 1980, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, December 23, 2017, in her home, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of thirty-seven years, nine months, and twenty-five days.
On February 2, 2001, she was united in marriage to Greg Wayne Thomas and to this union one daughter and two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her mother; and a son, Stephen Thomas.
Carla is survived by her husband, Greg, of Lebanon, Missouri; a daughter, Allie Thomas, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Joseph Thomas, of Lebanon, Missouri; her father, Billy Paul, of Richmond, Indiana; a brother, Brad Paul, of Lebanon, Missouri; two sisters, Cassie Mathis, of Richland, Missouri, and Christie Chatfield, of Lebanon, Missouri; two step-brothers, Adam Smith, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Calvin Zaniga, of Richmond, Indiana; a step-sister, Miranda Duckworth, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; a boyfriend, Roger Paulsen, of Springfield, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Lebanon, Missouri and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. After she and Greg were married, they made their home near Lebanon, and lovingly raised their children. Carla was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family.
Carla believed in God and had attended church services upon occasion with her family members.
She enjoyed working outside in her garden. She possessed a good sense of humor and loved to laugh. Her family was very important to her and she loved her children dearly.
Carla was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew or loved her.
