Those of us who were fortunate enough to have had her as a professor for music theory, sight-singing and music history at SBU, all have countless Dr. Bevier stories! She was without a doubt one of the toughest, most caring teachers I ever had and I am a better everything because of the time I spent under her care. My sympathy to her family and close friends.
