Carol J. Sewell (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Carol Judy Sewell, daughter of Virgil and Oleta Moore Renfro, was born May 26, 1951, near Hartville, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, November 29, 2021, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy years, six months, and three days.
Early in her life she was united in marriage to Charles D. “Chuck” Cook, and to this union one daughter and two sons were born. Together, they shared seventeen wonderful years. Chuck preceded her in death.
On April 19, 2005, she married Robert F. Sewell, and they shared the last sixteen years of happiness and memories.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Debbie Wallace; and a granddaughter, Stephanie.
Carol is survived by her husband, Robert, of the home; a daughter, Lori Cook, of Conway, Missouri; two sons, Lonnie Cook, and his wife, Connie, of Eldridge, Missouri, and Matthew Cook, and his wife, Shannon, of Lebanon, Missouri; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Rick Renfro, and his wife, Lisa, of Cabool, Missouri; a sister, Crenna Long, and her husband, Bill, of Norwood, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in Wright County and attended Mansfield Schools. She had made her home in the Lebanon area for the last several years. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Carol also worked as a seamstress for Tracker Marine for over twenty years.
She loved traveling and experiencing new places, enjoyed going to casinos and her lottery scratchers. She was a selfless, patient, and kind-hearted person with incredible, unwavering strength. Her family was always at the center of her life and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
