Carol Smith (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Carol Nadine Smith passed away on January 15, 2015 at Bolivar, Missouri. She went peacefully surrounded by family and close friends.
Carol was born on December 15, 1933 at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania to Charles and Nadine Ford. After high school, she attended college on a basketball scholarship. She married her sweetheart Leonard "Bud” Calvin Smith on Oct 12, 1952. After raising their 4 children, Carol went back to school and received her RN degree in 1976. She found her passion in nursing while working in the Intensive Care Unit. Carol a member of Brighton Assembly where she loved her Sunday school class and all the dear friends she had made at the church.
Carol is survived by her children, Susan Rios of Brighton Missouri, Lauri Smith Lippl of Camas, Washington, Steven L. Smith of Las Vegas, Nevada, and David D. Smith of Sacramento, California. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Carol is preceded in death by her husband Leonard "Bud" Smith, parents Charles and Nadine Ford, and brother Charles Ford Jr.
