Carolyn Sue Groden (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Carolyn Sue Groden, daughter of Thomas and Mildred Jones Blanton, was born August 24, 1959 in Fayetteville, AR. She passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026 in her home in Lebanon, Missouri. She was sixty-six years, ten months and nine days of age.
Carolyn was a beloved member of the Lebanon community where she spent her life surrounded by family, friends, and the great outdoors she so dearly loved.
Carolyn had a spirit that radiated warmth and kindness. She was always the one to lend a helping hand, doing anything for anyone who needed it. Her heart was especially big when it came to children—she adored taking care of her boys and her nephew, James, ensuring every moment they spent together was filled with love and laughter.
A true enthusiast of the great outdoors, Carolyn cherished racing, fishing, camping, and swimming. Whether it was a quiet day by the lake or a thrilling race, she embraced each adventure with a joyful spirit that inspired those around her.
For several years, Carolyn attended the Pleasant Grove Church in Sleeper, where she found community and fellowship. Her faith was a guiding light in her life and a source of strength for her family and friends.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mildred Blanton; her husband John Groden; and brother-in-law Jamen Yandell, Sr.
Carolyn is survived by her sons, John Groden, Jr. and Terry Groden and wife Alicia; her grandchildren, Alex John Grodan and Isaac Hillhouse; her sister, Betty Yandell; and her nephews, James Yandell and Tommy Aldean.
As we remember Carolyn, we celebrate her bright spirit and the countless ways she touched our lives. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
