Carolyn Faye Lawson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Carolyn Faye Lawson, daughter of Charles E. and Thelma Stephenson Olmstead, was born October 25, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, November 23, 2022, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-two years, and twenty-eight days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Barbara Johnson and Charlene Schneider.
Carolyn is survived by a daughter, Karen King, and her husband, Ed, of Knob Lick, Missouri; two grandchildren, David King, and his wife, Trista, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Tara Gann, and her husband, Bill, of Staunchfield, Minnesota; four great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She lived most of her life in the St. Louis area and the last twenty years in the Pacific area. She had worked at various factories through the years, and was always a devoted homemaker to her family.
Carolyn had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of First Baptist Church in Pacific. Her faith was very important to her and she loved her Lord.
She was a talented pianist and enjoyed playing for herself, her family and friends. She also was an avid reader. Her life revolved around her church and her family and she was always worrying about everyone else. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Carolyn was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories she created with them during her lifetime.
Memorial services for Carolyn Lawson will be Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Pacific Baptist Church in Pacific, Missouri. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. in the church.
A memorial has been established to Pacific Baptist Church and donations may be made through the funeral home.
