Carolyn Sellers (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Carolyn Louise Sellers, daughter of James Russell and Helen Louise Bruner Burney, was born December 23, 1954, in Winfield, Kansas. She departed this life Monday, January 13, 2014, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-nine years, and twenty days.
She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Russell Burney; and a sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and Jeff Smith.
Carolyn is survived by two daughters, Jamie Alexander, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Angela Kendrick, and her husband, Vincent, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Camisha, Jazmine, Nichole, Santana, Brianna, Lawrence, Aeryawna, and Adrianna; her mother, Louise Burney, of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, Robert Burney, of Alva, Oklahoma; a sister, Carla Gibbs, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born in Kansas and raised in Oklahoma. She then moved with her family to Lebanon, Missouri, where she graduated from Lebanon High School. She attended vocational college in Oklahoma, and began working as a tax preparation specialist. Later she worked as the manager of a convenience store and most recently was employed by McDonald’s Restaurant. Through the years, Carolyn was also a devoted homemaker to her family.
In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, sewing, and babysitting her grandchildren. She possessed a delightful sense of humor, loved to laugh, and could make everyone smile. She was a good person with a kind and loving heart, who always put her family first.
Carolyn was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
A memorial has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
