Carroll Ford (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Carroll Gene Ford, son of the late Walter Elmer & Mabel (Smith) Ford, was born on November 20, 1944 in Buffalo, MO and passed away on November 29, 2017 at his home in Louisburg, MO. At the time of his passing he was 73 years and 9 days of age.
Carroll attended school in Carthage, MO until the 9th grade and graduated from Buffalo High School in 1962. On July 26, 1964 he was united in marriage to Linda Kay Snider of Louisburg, Mo in the First Baptist Church of Louisburg. Carroll worked for Journagan Construction in Springfield, Mo for over 30 years until retiring to the farm and raising cattle and hay. Carroll was the go-to-good neighbor, always helping those in need. He was a race car enthusiast. He had built and showed cars for several years and earned many trophies. He and Linda attended races at the Lucas Oil Speedway. He truly loved the Christmas season. It was the time family came together for good food and gift giving. He had a little dog named Minnie and they would go for a ride to Buffalo so Minnie could have a treat, not meaning doggie treat, but a roll from the Donut Palace. He also had a bobtail kitty named Cricket. Every morning when Carroll would get ready to go outside, Cricket would look in the mirror and Carroll would scratch her back. This was the morning routine for Carroll and Cricket.
Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Ford & Mabel Ford and two brothers, Jim and Dale Wooten. He is survived by his wife, Linda Ford; a daughter, Angela Gullett of Wheatland, MO; a son, Anthony Ford of Warsaw, MO; four grandchildren, Lakin & husband Tyler Janke of Osceola, MO, Speed Ford of Springfield, MO, Casey Gullett of Buffalo, MO and A.J Gullett of Wheatland, MO; two sisters, Ginnie Castor and June Cooper of Carthage, MO; a sister-in-law, Sharon & husband Jerry Routh of Wheatland, MO.
