Catherine M. Robertson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Catherine Marie Robertson, daughter of Marvin and Katherine Marie Shankle Kuhlmann, was born January 16, 1941, in Memphis, Tennessee. She departed this life Saturday, October 17, 2020, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-nine years, nine months, and one day.
On August 3, 1959, she was united in marriage to Donald Ray Robertson, Sr., and to this union one daughter and three sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald, on November 5, 2019; an infant brother, Marvin; and two sisters, Evye and Martha.
Catherine is survived by a daughter, Dorace Burton, and her husband, Thomas, of Lebanon, Missouri; three sons, Donald Robertson, Jr., and his wife, Tawnya, of Cadet, Missouri, David Robertson, and his wife, Stacy, of Nixa, Missouri, and John T. Robertson, and his wife, Pamela, of St. Louis, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Donald III, Donnie, Jessica, Nicholas, Annie, Dalton, and Nora; five great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Karter, Fahren, Oliviah, and Evan;
several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and at an early age she moved to Doniphan, Missouri. While living in Doniphan, she met her husband of sixty years, Donald. After Catherine and Donald were married, she had to adjust to the position of being a military and Pastor’s wife, which she exemplified to the highest level. The family made their home in various locations while Donald was in the service and ministry, including Scotland, Kirksville, Missouri, Alameda, California, Dittmer, Missouri, and Corning and Clinton, Arkansas. Through the years, Catherine was a devoted homemaker, supportive wife, and a loving mother to her family. After retiring, the family moved to Lebanon, Missouri and made their home.
Catherine was currently a member of Community Baptist Church in Lebanon.
She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, cooking, sewing and playing golf. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Catherine was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
